Easter: Ella and Cooper in Yaya’s Garden

We stayed over at Jennie’s Mom & Dad (Yaya & Papa)’s house Saturday night which is just 1.5 miles from the church.

So I zipped back over to pick up Jennie and the kids between rehearsal and the first service and had a chance to snap a few pics in Yaya’s garden in the great morning light…

What do you miss about Canada?

Every once in a while someone will ask me “Is there anything you miss about Canada?”.

Sure – mostly friends and family.

But I also miss snow. NOT the cold, just the snow. I’ve got a ton of great memories growing up as a kid sledding, skiing and snowmobiling.

And doing donuts with the car in empty parking lots. (Note for Southerners: For front-wheel drive cars, you need to do donuts in reverse…)

So yeah, I’d love to have one week a year playing in some really serious snow. And then, of course, back to the South…

The folks in the following pics, however, probably have different opinions. A buddy of my Dad sent these to him, and he passed them along…

I don’t know who these next people are, but this is just plain funny….

Suddenly the 45 degrees outside seems incredibly lovely…

Weekend in the Garage

We moved into our house just over 5 years ago. Sadly, it took until this weekend for me to finally tackle the last frontier – THE GARAGE!!

But now it’s done! Cleaned out, painted, new shelving, and a ton of stuff ready to be picked up by the garbage truck come Monday morning…

I know it doesn’t look like much, but I’m resting tonight with one of those big “I’m proud of me” feelings…

Don’t worry, I’ll move the boom-box before we park in there… (I know you were worried… 😉 )
